Benefits of Hemp Animal Bedding

Low-Dust for
Respiratory Support

Hemp bedding is low-dust and chemical-free. Making it safe for you and your animals while promoting healthy respiratory function and indoor spaces.

2x More Absorbent for drier spaces

Hemp bedding absorbs 2x more moisture than pine shavings or straw. Which means a drier, more comfortable coop, stall, or cage.

Odor Control That Lasts

Hemp bedding's absorbency helps to naturally reduce odors from excess moisture and ammonia buildup. Resulting in fresher environments and less cleanouts.

Longer Lasting Bedding

Because hemp bedding absorbs more and breaks down more slowly, it tends to last longer than traditional materials. Meaning fewer replacements and less time spent cleaning.

Additional usages: sustainable building materials, biofuels, packaging, industrial applications, bioplastics, filtration material.

I have had some problems with the bedding in front of my chicken coop this summer. Because I have a mister running to keep the girls cool )110’), the ground at first became muddy. Then I put down pine pellets which absorbed the wetness but then became a big hard wet mound, even after raking it. I decided to try the hemp bedding and it was the answer to my problem. The hemp bedding absorbs the wetness and then dries overnight, leaving a soft and dry bedding (ground cover) for the next day!! I plan to use hemp bedding throughout my chicken run (next project)👍

It is OK I’ve had better hemp before. It is hard sift through them scoop and I have had finer hepmp that is easier to scoop through and this is a little kind, of course hemp. It is absorbent, but not easy to clean.

I ordered one bag, figured I’d test it out in my trailer. It was easy to spread, light, easy to sift. We are in the beginning stages, but are motivated to explore the benefits of switching from pine shavings.

So much better than wood shavings

My biggest problem with shavings is the dust. And when I dumped out Green Fox's Hemp Hurd there was literally no dust. I could pick it up, move it around, and still nothing! It's super easy to clean and sift, and is way more absorbent than wood shavings.

I love this stuff! It keeps it dry, it’s easy to clean, it’s soft on their feet and I think they (chickens) like it too. The price is worth it because it “evens” out because of its longevity. It really keeps the dust down, which is a big deal!
